Story#5 - Maureen:
As my plane was taking off, I reached into my bag and grabbed "Who's Watching Your Drink." My final destination was Chicago. A short flight, but enough to get me started. Page by page I sunk deeper and deeper into this amazing story not wanting to land.

It seemed like a half hour and we were on the ground having landed in Fort Wayne, Indiana due to weather. To my amazement, we had been in the air for hours circling. People were laughing at me on the plane because when we landed I had said, "oh we are here already!" I was thinking we were in Chicago. Here the pilot had been on the speaker telling the passengers the weather situation and the plan for our rerouted flight throughout our trip.

"Who's Watching Your Drink" was an absolutely outstanding book with the power to capture all senses to the point that if you are on an airplane your flight will be over in a heartbeat no matter when or where you land!
Thank you!!!! - Maureen

Story #4 - Adina:
It's 1994 and I was 21 years old. My friend and I went to this new club that just opened up. We had a couple of drinks and played some pool. I remember a couple of guys buying us a shot and after that my memory was gone. I woke up the next morning in an apartment above a tattoo shop naked and my wrists and ankles were bruised very badly like they had been tied up. I had no memory of anything that had happened that night. Now eight year later I've experienced flash backs of that night after having a miscarriage and having been put under with a local anesthetic. After that the missing pieces to the puzzle were coming together and I've realized that someone must have spiked my drink. I remember being handcuffed and there must have been 6-8 men in the room taking turns having sex with me but there faces never came clear to me. As a result of this I became pregnant and had an abortion. I went through the pain and anxiety of going through STD test and HIV tests. Luckily I was clean of all diseases, but the memory of that night will haunt me forever.

Thanks to Sharon Jackson and Watch your drink.com I've been able to tell my story in hopes that it will bring out more women and yes men too to speak out about there experiences and begin the healing process to move on. And to aware others of this horrible crime.

Story #3 - Roger:
Roger Zimmerman was known as an even tempered, confident man to his friends and colleagues. He was a successful sales manager for a national insurance chain and had been promoted on several occasions. During the spring of 2003, Roger attended a business seminar at a major hotel in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and this is his story……..

"During a break in the morning's activities, I went outside to smoke a cigarette; a habit I had promised my wife I would give up. While I was outside, I began talking with another attendee at the business seminar; or so I thought. This man, who introduced himself as Chuck, offered me a butterscotch candy. Putting that candy in my mouth is the last thing I remember until I woke up in my car outside that very same hotel the next afternoon.

My nightmare was just beginning as I desperately tried to piece together my memory to those 28 hours of complete black out. What I began to see was that I had been drugged and kidnapped by this man only known to me as 'Chuck.' It was only through taped video recordings, receipts, and other records that I was able to piece together my actions during these 28 hours. Chuck had financially wiped me out, and apparently with my complete consent!

The Police concluded that I been drugged with GHB in that butterscotch candy (and probably many more). During those 28 hours, Chuck escorted me to my bank where I withdrew all of the money from both my saving and checking accounts - in cash - leaving only $5 in each. There I was, clearly seen, on the bank camera recording laughing with Chuck while he stayed right beside me. The teller told me that he thought Chuck and I "seemed like best friends" as we laughed and talked to him.

Through receipts I also discovered that for two days I withdrew the maximum daily cash advance from each of my three major credit cards. Even more unnerving is the fact that I have a different PIN number set up for each of these credit cards and I was the only one that knew all of them.

While being drugged and kidnapped I willingly gave my attacker, Chuck, a total of $24,000 during those blacked-out 28 hours. In a million years I would never have thought that I could be the target and victim of such a criminal attack. It has opened my eyes!"

Story #2 - Kathleen:
It has been ten years since I have lost my husband to cancer. When a dear friend, Beth asked me to join her for dinner and drinks on News Years Eve 2002, I agreed, thinking it would be good for me to get out. The two of us planned out the evening carefully. We would ride together, drink light, and have lots of fun.

The evening did turn out to be a lot of fun, just as we had planned. That is, until we met up with an old business friend of mine, Tim - a well polished, respected man in our community. I invited Tim to join our table for a drink, and he was immediately attracted to my friend Beth. However, he was acting too friendly, too fast for Beth's taste, and could not keep his hands off of her. Beth gave me the sign "lets talk", so we left the table for a few minutes to get our photo taken together. When we returned, we saw that Tim had bought us both a drink. He gave me the old nudge in the arm and said, "In about 20 minutes we're going upstairs and do some real partying!” I asked, "what's upstairs, Tim?" He whispered, "I have an apartment there with some friends." Beth quickly said, "We're not leaving this table, Bud!"

About ten minutes later, I was halfway through my glass of wine and was feeling giddy, and acting extremely intoxicated. I felt confused. I couldn't remember where I was, or how I got there. Suddenly, Beth grabbed my arm and said, "I think he put something in my wine!" I asked, "You mean, he slipped us a Mickey Fin?" Beth replied nervously, "Yeah! Let’s get out of here - NOW!" She jumped up, knocking her chair backward on the floor. She dropped her purse the contents spilling everywhere. Beth started crawling around on her knees trying to recover her things saying, "We must leave; we’ve got to get out of here!" My legs felt like rubber. It took three security guards to walk me to the curb, and Beth was behind me with a man on both arms. We got into a taxi and went back to her home. We both passed out on the couch. I awoke after midnight and got into my car to drive home. I drove the wrong way, ran through a double-gated security fence that encircled a local power plant, and drove through the back fence down into the woods. I have a car phone, and could have called for help, but my brain seemed to have just stopped working.

Miraculously, a couple, returning home from a News Years Eve party, happened to see me wandering around in the woods. It was 1:00 a.m., the temperature was five degrees, and there was two feet of snow on the ground. I had no coat, no shoes, and my pants were frozen from peeing on them. Disorientated, and not even knowing my own name; I also had frost bite on my hands and feet. They quickly called an ambulance and sent me to the hospital. My car was towed to a body shop. (The estimated damage was seven thousand dollars to the outside.)

To this day, I still cannot remember anything that occurred after 8:30 p.m. that night (which is when we had our photo taken) and I feel very lucky to be alive. Incredibly enough, the hospital testing showed zero alcohol in my system. They never thought of performing a drug test. After all, I'm 71 years old... Who would think that I would have to Watch My Drink?
